My to do list for the rest of 2020 is pretty long

My to do list for the rest of 2020 is pretty long and ambitious, but I am really excited by it!

I have so many ideas for projects that excite me, and choosing where to focus on first is hard. Having lists everywhere and a notebook always on hand really helps me to get my thoughts and ideas down.

Executing them is another thing entirely 😂

What’s one thing you want to achieve in the last part of this year? I want to overpay our mortgage as much as possible 💪🏻

Our bedroom is coming together so well now! I remember seeing the @grosvenorfurniture bed on @oldschoolcottageinthecountry’s stories and falling in love with it. We didn’t have the space for the exact same bed so we had to choose the one with no foot end but I am in love!

We then spent ages choosing what to have above the bed - we had some Disney princess pinup canvases but didn’t think they would really fit in here.

We finally decided on these gorgeous paper flowers from @moniquepaperart and are so impressed. Considering they came from abroad they arrived in perfect condition.

All we need now is some new pillows (any recommendations for ones that won’t go flat as pancakes?) and to paint a set of drawers and then I think our bedroom is finally done...10 months after we moved in!

I feel as though my feet haven’t touched the gro

I feel as though my feet haven’t touched the ground for the past 2 weeks with getting @christmasshopholt up and running plus working on lots (and lots!) of blog related things.

Today it was time to take my dad out for a little date. We headed out for some lunch and his beautiful cappuccino (plus introducing him to Biscoff - he’s a convert!) before we hit up some charity shops for bargains.

But I need your help.

It is my dad’s birthday in October - what do you get a retired man who has everything he wants or needs? I love giving him experiences so please let me know if you have any suggestions for Things or Experiences!

WHO KNEW - I didn’t have a suitable ‘my latest

WHO KNEW - I didn’t have a suitable ‘my latest biopsy came back with NO CANCER’ photo in my camera roll.

I wasn’t expecting the results yet because I haven’t had an ultrasound for my ovarian cyst, but the letter dropped through the door today.

I can’t even begin to express the emotions I felt reading those words.

My consultant warned me that they were looking for no cancer growth, and not to expect it to have receded. I have now dropped a stage/grade (we are out celebrating and I don’t have the letter with me) and now ‘only’ have abnormal cells. I have another biopsy in 6 months 🤞🏻

Anyway here’s a photo where I caught myself in the mirror as I was coming down the stairs and did a very loud ‘dayum gurl’.

Thank you so much for your kind wishes and support 😘😘😘 these past few months have been hell in my little brain

Can you believe that you can go on safari just a few miles from King’s Lynn?

Board a private buggy for 4 or 6 people, choose your driver and off you go on a 90 minute safari 😍

It was so much fun, and so great to hear some amazing conservation stories. Highly, highly recommend. In fact we are booking again soon to take our parents!

Have you been struggling with post lockdown finances? 17% of us have used up our emergency funds during the pandemic & almost 4 in 10 of us (39%) are terrified about the impact a second wave would have on our finances.

I have 5 money management tips to share with you to help you out. Some of these tips use open banking apps, which allow you to conveniently & securely connect your bank account in order to improve your finances.

1 - Prioritise your spending. What are your financial priorities? They have probably changed due to the pandemic, so take note of them.

2 - Plan ahead. Compare your income to your outgoings and if you can’t make ends meet then plan how you will cut back (eg. switching supermarkets) or how you will make extra money (eg. selling your unwanted items). Think ahead to Christmas & other big financial commitments. @meetcleo can help you by stashing some cash away towards your goal.

3 - Track your money. Where is it going every month? Where have you made savings? If you’re still struggling then Tully is a digital debt adviser who can help!

4 - Save & invest. You can effortlessly start investing by rounding up your loose change with @moneyboxteam [With investments, your capital is at risk. Goodness me I am anxious atm! If you missed it in my stories I finally have my next cancer test TOMORROW and since I found out I’ve reverted to my anxiety coping methods which aren’t always healthy. Hello anxiety naps!

With that in mind @thrifty_husband whisked me off to Sunny Hunny yesterday for a much needed change of scenery.

I felt really cute in this top and denim shorts, and it was so nice to eat outside and just enjoy each other’s company. It being half price was v nice!

We didn’t stay too long - it was quite busy and although I fancied a mooch through the charity shops we just had lunch, a stroll along the seafront and ice creams before leaving. Definitely no amusements although they were open...

Face to face Friday again, where has this week gone?!?!

I don’t have many ‘before’ photos with my hair up. This was 4 days post op so it included my liver reduction diet weight loss, and on the right is today. It is way too hot to be out with my hair down today - especially as I have three YouTube videos to film and one is Poundland.

So grateful for my progress each and every single day 💪🏻
